REPUBLIC OF BELARUS - MINSK
The country consists of 6 major cities. Minsk is the capital of the country. The population of the country is 10 million, and 2 million of the country live in the capital Minsk. The current population reaches 2.5 to 3 million, especially on weekends, with visitors from other provinces, districts, towns and villages coming to the capital Minsk for shopping and sightseeing.
Its geography has the form of a flat plain with almost no roughness. With its lush greenery and numerous rivers and lakes, Belarus is an important and prominent tourist destination. Almost all Belarusians speak Russian along with Belarusian.
Gaziantep Municipality signed the twinning protocol with Minsk City on September 20, 2018 in Gaziantep.
MINSK - GAZIANTEP RELATIONS
Gaziantep actively maintains bilateral relations with the city of Minsk in the fields of trade, economy and sports. Within the framework of cooperation in the field of business, businessmen from Gaziantep met with the representatives of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce. Gaziantep cuisine with the title of gastronomy was presented to the Belarusian people during the Republic Day celebrations. Various cooperation activities realized in the field of sports with Belarus, which hosted the European Sports Games. Significant cooperation activities have been held in the cultural field and Turkish music was introduced to the people of Belarus.
